All-Levels Clermont camp

Quick Facts

Location: Clermont, Florida

Type of camp: All-levels triathlon camp + Olympic distance triathlon

Length of camp: 4.5 days (Wednesday afternoon until Sunday mid-day)

Dates: March 11-15th, 2020.

Not only will you gain fitness and skills during our all-levels triathlon training camp, but as part of the camp experience you will have the opportunity to participate in the Great Clermont Olympic Distance Triathlon on day 3 of the camp!

Our All-Levels Triathlon Camp is centered around your triathlon skills. As an early season triathlon camp, our goal is to help you dust off the rust, improve your technique, learn how to better manage the terrain and build excitement for your 2020 season. While there will be plenty of training to give you a little fitness boost, you will leave camp with improved confidence to help you feel more race-ready for your upcoming triathlon events.
From our experience in working with athletes of all levels, every triathlete has room for improvement when it comes to swim, bike, run skills.

While this is an all fitness levels camp, we expect that all campers are comfortable riding a bike in a new environment, in a group setting and have endurance to comfortably ride for 2+ hours on rolling terrain. This is not a beginner camp. For your safety, we ask that you arrive to camp with basic triathlon skills and endurance.
If this camp is not right for you, consider a
private camp.

FAQS

When should I plan to arrive/depart?
We suggest to book your travel so that you arrive later morning or early afternoon on March 11th, 2020. We suggest to depart on Sunday late afternoon March 15th or on the 16th. The camp house is available until 10am on Monday the 16th.

How should I get my bike to camp?
If you are not planning to drive with your bike, we suggest to either fly with your bike or use Bike Flights to ship your bike to a local bike store.
If you are flying with your bike (or shipping your bike), you do not need to bring your bike pump as we will have pumps available.

What if I get injured before the camp but I’ve already registered?
Immediately contact us in the case of an injury. We treat injuries and sicknesses on a case-by-case basis regarding a full refund. If you still plan on attending camp with a recent injury, we will do our best to modify workouts so that you can get the most out of your camp experience.

Am I required to participate in the triathlon race?
Yes and no. Unless you are injured or have a reason as to why you are unable to participate in the race, we include the race as a required component of our 4.5 day training camp. If you are unable to participate in the Olympic distance, other events include an open water swim, sprint distance, aquathlon ad duathlon. In other words, if you would like to race another short-distance event, that is fine.
We built into the camp itinery with the race included.

How do I know if I am fit enough for this camp?
This is a skill specific camp designed to help you train and race better throughout the season. You do not have to come to camp in peak race shape but you do need to arrive with enough fitness to ride your bike comfortably for 2+ hours on rolling terrain. You should also feel comfortable riding in a group environment, in a new environment. We cater to all swim/run fitness levels but we expect you to arrive to camp with a good baseline of fitness.
Workouts cater to all fitness levels. However, this is not a beginner triathlete camp.

I am not a Trimarni coaching athlete, can I still attend?
Absolutely! We would love to have you at camp.

Are meals included in my camp payment?

Campers will purchase their own or share groceries in the camp house. We suggest that one person is the designated grocery "buyer" and then the total costs for groceris are divided among those staying in the house (there are 4 kitchens in the house!). Seeing that our campers eat similar snacks/meals, sharing food cuts down on the cost of food and makes eating time a much more fun experience.
The local grocery store (Publix) is nearby. There is also a Super Wal-Mart.
There are several restaurants near the National Training Center.

I noticed this camp is more expensive than your Greenville camp?
Due to the costs of the NTC pool, camp house (which is included in the camp fee), destination/location of the camp and SAG support, we tried to make the camp price as reasonable as possible to ensure a quality camp experience.
