Post Race Debrief
You spent months preparing for your event. There’s a good chance that you arrived physically fit and ready to perform.
Sadly, not every race goes as planned.
Nutrition is one of the most common reasons why athletes struggle to perform to their potential on race day.
Bonking, early fatigue, cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and a sloshy stomach can make for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant race day experience.
And if your nutrition issue resulted in a DNF or ended up in the medical tent (or hospital) post race, you may find yourself worrying about your health and longevity in the sport.
Now that the race is behind you, it’s very important to analyze your performance. If you experienced nutrition issues during your race, you are not alone.
