Social Media
At Trimarni, we are passionate about helping athletes excel in endurance and ultra endurance events. However, to achieve peak performance, you must protect your mental health and emotional well-being. More and more research is showing that people who use social media are more likely to experience mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, disrupted sleep, comparison and FOMO (fear of missing out). We live in a digital world. As a small business owner, coach, sport dietitian and athlete, I realize that I need a social media presence to connect, increase awareness on important topics and build trust. However, I recognize the downsides to social media.
My intention with social media is to education, motivate and to inspire. I am not posting for likes or followers. I don’t cater to trends, fads or popularity. With so much misinformation, pseudoscientific health information and digitally-altered images, social media can be more toxic than you realize - especially if you find yourself going on auto-pilot as you scroll through your feed. To help you navigate through the many accounts that are not worthy of your time, energy and mental health, I’ve created this page (along with my blog) as a safe place for you to access my content, which I hope is helping you live a happier, healthier and more quality-filled life.
